Some of Spencer’s images are included in a new book called September.
The September Project was the brainchild of Editor Michael Fordham. In September of 2005 around twenty like-minded artists, who were linked by a love of the ocean, travelled to the West coast of Ireland to make art about the trip.
The book is now available from Stranger Magazine or in Howies stores.

Spencer has been helping The Telegraph Arts reviewer and Picture Editor Lucy Davies. Lucy is Painting a portrait of Dame Beryl Bainbridge, Author and multi Booker Prize nominee. And as part of her regular arts blog Lucy will be posting the painting in stages.
Spencer was asked to go along and take some pictures while Lucy sketched Dame Beryl so that she can use them as reference later.
The early polaroids and some other of Spencer’s images can be seen on the blog now and the pictures he took on the day will follow.
