Spencer has contributed portraits to today’s Guardian Weekend. The story is about the dialogue between 999 operators and those that make the calls, Spencer’s accompanying images are of the people that made the calls and those requiring emergency assistance.
Tapes of the calls can be heard at the Guardian website and are well worth a listen.

Linda is contributing a 40x40” one edition mounted photograph for charity. It’s a project called catch 22 and it’s raising money to support youth.

“Independent Limited Edition Poster”
Independent
A limited edition poster of Spencer’s project ‘Independent’ is now available directly from Spencer or from The Photographer’s Gallery Bookshop. You will also find it at the exhibition until the 24th May (see previous post). The poster, which folds away into a 7 inch record sleeve is available in an edition of 400. A smaller edition of 25, which includes a signed 7 inch by 7...

“Independent Exhibition”
Spencer has been working closely with Designer and Illustrator Ali Augur on a project celebrating Soho’s independent Record shops. The images will be on show at 63 Broadwick Street from the 16th - 24th May along with Limited Edition posters and text by Cyrus Shahrad.
Hyeres Festival
Spencer Murphy has just spent a long weekend in the South of France as one of the ten emerging photographers at the Hyeres festival. His series ‘Architects Of War’ was selected earlier this year to be shown at the Villa Noailles Fashion and Photography Festival.
